1. What are the minimum requirements to register with the scheme?
To register with Lion Media UK you must:
- Be the primary driver of the vehicle
- Be at least 17 years of age and hold a clean full UK driver's licence
- Hold valid vehicle insurance for the period of the contract
- Hold a current MOT for the vehicle
- Hold valid road tax for your vehicle
- Hold no convictions for drink driving, manslaughter or causing death by dangerous driving
- Agree to our Terms and Conditions presented prior to the contract start
These details will be checked prior to the contract start.
2. Exactly what will be on my vehicle?
An experienced professional will apply a high quality adhesive vinyl film to the external surfaces of your vehicle with care and precision. The vinyl is a temporary film on which is a pre-printed graphic design which represents our client company. For window applications, we use a special type of film which appears transparent from the inside of the vehicle yet creates an image on the outside meaning that the driver’s visibility remains uncompromised.
3. What types of vehicle are acceptable?
The specific vehicle type is not important, we accept all vehicle types from small cars to large vans and all are given equal precedence. The advertisement will be custom designed to suit almost any make or model of vehicle. We can utilise the colour of the vehicle to help us create a more effective design although no colour is favoured, all vehicle colours are accepted.
4. Can I register if I have a company car?
We do accept company vehicles and vehicles on company lease schemes although we accept no responsibility for any objections or interventions by your associated company. Therefore you should seek permission from the companies concerned before registering with Lion Media UK. We also recommend that you inform any leasing or finance company which may have an interest in the vehicle.
5. Can I register my commercial van, truck, car or taxi fleet?
If you own a small or large fleet of vehicles you wish to register for the scheme please consult our contact us page to discuss our personalised corporate packages available. We can offer a sizeable monthly income to your business by using your vehicles and all with no change to your daily routines. We are keen to develop positive relationships with both local and national companies alike so do not hesitate to contact us if you feel you have suitable vehicles to offer.
6. Am I able to choose what sort of advertising I have on my vehicle?
We are sensitive to the fact that your vehicle is an integral part of your personal territory which is why we exclude certain sensitive categories of advertising such as tobacco, condoms and feminine hygiene products. Ultimately, it is your decision whether you accept the branding allocated to your vehicle; therefore it is your duty to inform us of any objections you may have prior to the vinyl application. Equally, we invite you to inform us if there are any categories or brands which you would be particularly keen to advertise.
7. Will the advertisement damage my paintwork?
The application and removal of vinyl advertisements is carried out by experienced trained professionals who take great care of your vehicle from start to finish. While on the vehicle, the vinyl covers your paintwork therefore protecting it from fading effect of the sun’s ultra violet rays, stone chips, light scratches and corrosion. It is very unlikely that the vinyl will have any adverse effect provided that the paintwork is of original factory standard and has not suffered damage through serious neglect.
8. Will my vehicle insurance be affected?
By applying a vinyl advertisement to your vehicle, your motor insurance premium should not be affected although we do recommend that you inform your insurers upon application of the vinyl. Ultimately, the application of vinyl graphics makes your vehicle unique and distinctive, therefore less attractive to thieves. For peace of mind, we provide full insurance cover against damage to the paintwork of your vehicle during the vinyl application and removal phases while the vehicle is stationary.
9. How long will it take to apply the advertisement?
The vinyl application process usually takes no more than one working day to complete. Depending on your location, we usually apply the vinyl at your home or place of work; however we may ask you to travel to the fitting workshop if this is infeasible.
10. How do I register for the scheme?
To register your vehicle for the scheme, please complete our online Registration Form, filling out all areas thoroughly, honestly and to the best of your knowledge. Your personal details shall be kept on our secure database and under no circumstances should any of your details be passed on to a third party.
11. What happens after I register?
Once your completed online Registration Form has been submitted we evaluate your vehicle suitability, journey habits, location and individual compatibility. Once your vehicle has been selected for the scheme you will be contacted, assigned an identification number and then arrangements will be made to accommodate the vinyl application process.
